I do not know how old this unit is or what model but many water heaters are not sophisticated enough to measure the temperature, but heat based on water flow and temperature rise. To start, tankless water heaters turn off every time you turn the hot water off. Lets use an example. You use the facilities, wash your hands then turned off the water and take a shower. You will bring the already heated water (from washing your hands) from the pipe up to the shower. Then the cold water that comes into the pipe from the reactivation of the water heater comes up the hot water pipe with warm then hot water just behind.

If this is not your problem, keep reading. Every unit I have been called to see were installed wrong. Check your installation manual to see if the problem with the system started with the contractor.

First, check the temperature of the water from the heater. If it is too hot and you are mixing too much cold water in, the unit will turn off because there is not enough water flow to keep it running.

Second, turn off the valve at the water heater and turn on the hot water at a faucet. If the water does not stop running, there is a "plumbing cross over" usually caused by a failing pressure balance valve in a shower.

Third, if the unit has not been serviced, go to bosch-climate.us to find a tankless water heating professional in your area. Totally Tankless LLC

Why is the Bosch high flow 21e system while showering going cool & then returns to the set temperature?

If your Bosch Highflow 21e hot water system is experiencing fluctuations in water temperature while showering, it could be caused by a few different factors. Here are some possible reasons for this issue:
  1. Flow rate too high: The hot water system may not be able to keep up with the demand if the showerhead or tap is allowing too much water to flow through. This can cause the water temperature to drop suddenly. Try reducing the flow rate by turning down the tap or using a low-flow showerhead.
  2. Water pressure fluctuations: If the water pressure in your home fluctuates, it can cause the hot water temperature to vary. This can be caused by various factors, such as other appliances using water at the same time, or changes in municipal water supply pressure. Installing a pressure regulator or a flow restrictor may help to stabilize water pressure.
  3. Blocked or dirty water filter: A clogged or dirty water filter in the hot water system can restrict water flow, causing the water temperature to fluctuate. Check the filter and clean or replace it if necessary.
  4. Malfunctioning thermostatic mixing valve: The thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) regulates the water temperature in the hot water system. If it's faulty or dirty, it can cause temperature fluctuations. A licensed plumber or technician can inspect the valve and replace it if necessary.
  5. Faulty temperature sensor or control board: If the temperature sensor or control board in the hot water system is faulty, it may not be able to maintain a consistent water temperature. A technician can diagnose the issue and repair or replace the faulty component.
If you're unsure about how to diagnose or fix the issue with your hot water system, it's best to contact a licensed plumber or technician for assistance.

80 gal power vented gas fired hot water heater. We moved into this house 2 years ago and over the last month or 6 weeks our hot water comes in very hot but does not maintain a constraint heat We have a...

Have you tried turning the temperature down. If so and still have problem shut breaker off, let cool completely and then drain the tank by connecting a water hose to it. Sediment tends to build up on the bottom. When finished disconnect hose, turn valve closed, let tank completely. Fill before turning breaker on.

Junkers manual gas hot water

What are you expecting to happen?

I assume the water heater and water inside it is cold (otherwise you would not be lighting it). You light the pilot. The main burner comes on and the pilot lights it. The main burner should stay on until the tank is hot, When the tank gets hot the main burner should shut off but the pilot stay on. If you draw hot water, cold water will run in and cool the tank. If yu do nothing the tank will eventually just cools off. then the main burner should come back on to reheat the tank.

GAs will not shut off when water is turned off. We already bought and replace the water valve. If we turn off the hot water, it makes a terrible sound and overheats. It eventually goes to the emergency...

Turn Hot Temperature down lowerthan current setting. Make sure that Heater operates properly before using. A defective temp sensor can SCALD and BURN. What TYPE of Terrible SOUND? Do you have anyone tht is the least bit mechanical to observe and direct you to the right source. IF your husband enjoys cold showers this sounds like an opportunity to suggest that with WARM baths the two of you can have some Peaceful time! And both come out clean!

No water pressure in bath tub after turning off hot water heater

It could be back flowing into the hot water heater tank which is not full because of the leak. Even though the valve is closed on the cold water entry side, there is probably no valve on the exit side. That is how it is returning to the tank.

How do you sdjust dip switches on an ECO200PV for 125 degree water?

why so hot? one thing i have noticed when i install tankless is we are soo used to making hotter water then we need then cooling it down to what we like, set your tankless so when you jump in the shower or do the dishes that you only turn on hot water only. then your not wasting energy to heat water you are just cooling down. then your just heating water to what it needs to be. you will use less energy and get more out put out of your tankless
