Defective temperature sensor in the fridge section.

as silly as it sounds it mite be because setting to cold or not enough product in fridge. i use to store all my milk at top of fridge and it used to freeze. put milk lower down and now problem. mite be a different case for u.

Adjust your thermostat / temperature setting to a warmer temperature.

You could also have a lot of food placed in front of the vent in the top of the refrigerator compartment. Tall jugs (like milk jugs) are usual culprits of this one. Cold air is deflected in other direction, it might be going straight to the crisper rather than diffusing first.

Icecream is a tough call. Some brands have to many artaficial ingredients and that doesnt get solid. What temps are you getting in the freezer? Is everything else frozen solid?

Get a refrigerator thermometer and use it to calibrate your controls. I think milk wants 35 to 41 degrees.

The problem with the water is that the drain tube is plugged. The easiest way to fix this and to save money is to unplugg the refrigerator and leave the doors open all day. This will thaw out the drain tube without a service technician coming out. That will fix that problem. With it freezing the food on the where its not supposed, This may be a bad cold control. But try unplugging the unit for a day with the doors open and this may fix both problems. (i know it will fix the water issue)

I think you mean that milk freezes, etc.

Probably bad thermocouple. In the refrigerators I'm familiar with, there is a thermocouple thermostat in the freezer. There is no measuring of refrigerator temperature; it just gets a portion of the cold freezer air.

If the thermostat is bad, then ice cream should be rock hard too, for it never quits cooling except on defrost cycle, three times per day.
