How do I replace a spout O-ring on an American Standard Jasmine Hi-Flow Kitchen Faucet, 3821.831 or .834. I'm trying to get the spout assembly off to get access to replace. Thanks in advance!

The base of spout is like a nut unscrew then lift off spout install new o-rings be sure to use plumbers grease or vaseline to coat new o-ring ,reinstall as was disassembled that should take care of problem. You may need a strap wrench to remove spout base nut.

How long have you had this? is everythign tight? check underneath the sink to ensure all connections are tight. The spout may have came loose, and it may not be able to be fixed, may need to be replaced.

Faucet leak from the connection with spout.

Return the new faucet for another one. The o-rings in the base of the spout are leaking. Either installed wrong at the factory or defective rings.

Don't fight with it, trade for a different one.

Leak around handle and spout

If it is leaking around the handle, the cartridge may be loose and you need to tighten it more. If it is leaking from the spout, the cartridge is faulty. Even if you bought a new one, it may be faulty. They are made in China and the quality control is awful.

Kitchen spout leaks

Hi buffy9,

I'm Harvet the Master Plumber.

Your question is: You have an American Standard two faucet in my kitchen and the base of the spout leaks at the base. How do you remove it and replace the washers?

Are we talking about an American Standard two HANDLE faucet or one of the single handle models?

Thank you,
Harvey your Master Plumber
