A mathematical logic question.
You need to get all of the measurements in the same units.
- A cubic yard is 1 yard x 1 yard x 1 yard
- equals 3 ft x 3 ft x 3 ft
- equals 27 cubic feet,
so once you have the volume of the pipe in cubic feet, you divide by 27 to get the volume in cubic yards.
- Volume of a cylinder (the pipe) is the cross sectional area X length.
- Area equals Pi x r squared.
- equals 22/7 x 1 x 1
equals 3.14#####
times length (20)
equals 62.857### cubic feet volume
divide by 27 cubic feet
equals 2.328### cubic yards.

- The answer is always the easy part.
- what is important is knowing exactly what the question is, and
- determing what calculations are needed to get the answer.

Wasn't that better than if I'd just said 2 1/3 cubic yards?

If you would like to know the circumference of a 15" diameter circle this is the formula:
circumference = radius x 2 x pi
circumference = diameter x pi

in our case:
circumference = 15" x 3,14
circumference = 47 ,1" (that's 119,634 cm)

look for the pi key it should be there or type

sin(180/1000000)*1000000 press enter or equal key to get 3.141592654 for a result it the same value as pj on the pi key times it by 3 to get
9.424777961 for a result.

In parametric functions, the variables x and y are both functions of an independent variable, called t, and that usually represents the time. The default variable in parametric functions must be called t. You can enter the limits you want. However if you type in 2 Pi it will be converted on the entry line to 6.28. The default tstep is 0.13 which is about pi/24. I fail to see what the commotion is about.
In this representation of the witch of Agnesi, the variable t is between 0 and 4Pi, and the step tstep is 0.13, a little less that pi/24
Reset your calculator and restart

Press 2 ^ 2ND ^ ENTER .

If you get a symbolic result, press diamond ENTER .

180deg is equivalent to Pi radians
Take some angle. Its measure in degrees is say x_deg, Its measure expressed in radians is x_rad.
The fraction of 180 deg that the angle represents is equal to the fraction of PI that this angle represents.
Conclusion: the ratio x_deg/ 180 deg must be equal to the ratio of x_rad/PI
x_deg/180 deg=x_rad/PI

Isolate X-rad in the above equation. Some will tell you to cross multiply.
x_rad=(Pi/180)*x_deg

Application: x_deg=-525 in radians?
x_rad= (PI/180)*(-525)=-(525/180)*PI

Keep the value (525/180) as a fraction reduced to its simplest form. The result is 35/12

Pi is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any Euclidean plane circle's circumference to its diameter; this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius. It is approximately equal to 3.14159265 in the usual decimal notation.

The cotangent function is not implemented on the TI84PLUS native OS and consequently you will not find its inverse function on the calculator. However, there exits an equivalence (definition) between arc cotangent(x) and arc tangent (1/x).

Be careful. Since it is a multivariate function, some authors define the principal branch in the domain [0, PI], while others define the domain on [-Pi/2, Pi/2]. You will have to consult your textbook, or the documents you are using to find out the domain of the principal branch.
