We bought a 2003 Jaguar x-type, the couple we bought it from left the lights on and it completely drained the battery. Since then the radio has not worked or prompted the computer to ask for the security code. When we brought it home yesterday I played around with the radio and got it to work but I am unable to change channels or change the time. The CD player works but you can't shuffle between songs. I tried disconnecting the battery twice with the key turned on to drain all power out. Is there a way to prompt the computer to bring up the code prompt?
Since I know nothing about the radio on a Jaguar I thought I would not be able to assist on this one. However... I did find a link to the radio.

Good luck.

SOURCE: inverter is draining house batterys on rv
it is possible that you batteries are bad, if you have used it for over a year you will need to replace it with new ones
SOURCE: Inverter seems to be working but batteries aren't
is the bateries draining quikly?, if so try redusing the load on the inverter ,always make sure it is fully charged before use.
