Hi, I had the same problem with my moms Triton PL3. I bought it in 2005, she used it once or twice then it just sat for a couple of years. The batteries went dead and I tried to charge it to no avail. My neighbour is great with all things mechanical and advised that the scooter charger may be too weak to bring these batteries back from the dead, so we took the two batteries out of thecase and hooked a car charger up to them - after one day the batteriew were both charged up, now when they run down, the original scooter charger is able to recharge them. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem, light came on briefly then out. I replaced the batteries ($120 ouch) and still nothing. I took apart the box under the axle and although the circuit board looked good from above, it was all corroded on the bottom side. now I'm tryinig to find a circuit board, but not having any luck.

If the battery won't hold a charge then it is probably time for a replacement batttery. If you need help finding a replacement check out www.batteryinternational.com . They should be able to help you find the the correct battery for your scooter model.

Often a connection problem between the battery and the motor can cause this problem. All seems well but as soon as you require power from the battery, a “bad connection” results in a high resistance and the battery is unable to deliver the required current to the motor. Check that the battery terminals are really tight. Give them a good wiggle. Then check that the cable from the controller box to the motor is secure… don’t swing from it but ensure it is in place. Happy scooting. Regards Chris… firstname.lastname@example.org
