Cutter blade and clamp on my paper cutter will not engage

When I press the start button and hold down the 2 switches to engage the clamp and blade it does not engage them. The light comes on when I push the start button and the light dims, like normal, when I push in the two buttons together....Nothing happens. Do I have an electrical problem i.e.: switch or fuse?

SOURCE: Triumph Trident Starting

ok, there is two possibly problems u could be experiencing. ONE: would be a worn out solenoid(needs to be replaced) or TWO: the starter bruckes are worn out so far that it is actually grounding out or they are not conecting to the armature in the starter. this is a relatively easy fix, but to try to find the parts s another story. i would recomend taking it to ur local dealer or a starter repair shop. they will be able to get the parts and fix it for u. my dad works at a starter/alternator repair shop here in chatham ontario.

SOURCE: Hi,

Could be a battery problem. The smell may well have been the battery over charging. The voltage regulator would have to be suspect if this is the case.

SOURCE: Rocket 3 wont start. dials dead

Lift the tank. Underneath it you'll find a plastic connector block joining loads of wires together. Turn the ignition on and push this connector block together, or twist it around a bit. If the ignition sequence starts, it'll be because the wires in the connector block are corroded. Moving the block sometimes makes a temporary fix, but ultimately it'll happen again until the block or the wiring harness ideally, is replaced.

How to reassemble blades on wahl stable pro 8800

Do you have more parts in your hand than 2x screws and 2x blade parts? If no then pop the small cutter blade onto the plastic blade drive with the drive engaged into the diamond shaped hole in the cutter blade. Make sure you put the cutter blade on with the teeth facing forwards and the correct way up. The top side (goes towards clipper) is pretty much flat except where teeth taper. Next lubricate the small cutter where it is going to touch the large comb blade when you fit it. Now put the comb blade on and fit the 2 screws. Line up the blades & tighten the screws.

Cutter unit having press & release system, by mistake its released, it might be fallen in paper bin.. You can see there is a cut at right side near blur lever, pull cutter bush up to there & load the cutter into cutter bush. Once hearing click sound manually confirm its fixed properly or not.. once its confirmed, push cutter in to park area, power on the printer..

How do i change the blades

Disconnect the planer's power cord, then use the T-wrench that comes with the planer to remove the four screws that secure the top of the planer. Lift the top to remove it from the planer.
Remove the three wing nuts holding the dust cover over the cutter head. Rotate the dust cover up to unlock it from the fan housing, then push the cover to the left to disconnect it. Remove the dust cover from the planer to expose the cutter head.
Rotate the cutter head with a piece of scrap wood until the lock on the side of the cutter head engages. All eight screws in the cutter head clamp should now be visible. Remove the screws using the T-wrench, then turn the T-wrench upside down and use the magnet in the head of the T-wrench to grab the clamp. Remove the clamp to expose the knife underneath. Use the magnet to remove the knife.

Stalls when engaging cutter blades

The shaft that holds the blade could be rapped with something or needs a new bearing. Check again next to the deck, try a little WD 40 on the bearing.

UP-DR100 Error 0008 problem

Problem: The Printer does not detect the Reverse position of the cutter during initialization.
Either there is a scrap piece of paper obstructing the path of the carriage that houses the cutter blade or more than likely impact on the lower left side of the printer causing a bend in the metal that holds the Reverse switch.
This switch will trigger a sensor telling the printer that the cutter has reached the Reverse position(left side)

The grinding noise is caused by the cutter carriage rubbing on the inner side of the door panel. The door panel shifted inward and is obstructing the path of the cutter blade.

Solution:Replace the door panel and check for damage on the left side of the cutter blade path and bend the metal piece to realign the switch so that the plastic carriage makes contact when reaching the left side. Or replace the whole cutter blade assembly.
Any replacement parts can be ordered from imagingspectrum.com.
