u need to charge it or put new battereys sorry cant spell or u should get a new camera because if u put battereys in or charge it it will not work sorry i am trying to be helpful i fix cameras but i have to see it first sorry
That happens to me once in a while too. What you do, try taking the disk drive out and run it under hot water for about 20 seconds. Then, dry it thoroughly. Put it back in and it should work.

sound like you have a shorted element, it will stay hot but not high heat hot (glowing) red, other posibility is bad infinate control switch that switch could be bad
