Hi there,

An F1 usually means a communication error between the control board/touchpad and the motor/pump assy. Could you please supply the full model # for your unit?

SOURCE: water build up in dishwasher- clogged drain

I would not recomment putting chemicals in the dishwasher. There is usually some kind of filter in the bottomt at you can easily take out and clean. It's common to have parts of labels and plastic clog this up.

Try removing and cleaning this first. It may also be reached from a separate hatch in the fronc of your dishwasher, depending on the make and model. Just make sure it's securly back in place before you start it afterwards, or you may flood your kitchen.

You may also try to disconnect the hose and blow through it to see if you may be able to blow back any objects stuck there.

If none of this helps your problem may be in the pump, and then it's usually a job for professionals.

SOURCE: broken dishwasher

If there is no water in the dishwasher - i.e. it had finished a cycle, but now it is just the indicator lights that are on, then the chances are some water has got into the control system. It will probably dry out, given time. (maybe a number of days.)

If there is water in the dishwasher -i.e. it was part way through the cycle and stopped, it maybe that the outlet hose/pipe has got blocked - possibly by your plumber's efforts. Generally speaking, the fats are rinsed off by the hot water, but go solid further along the pipes, as it cools. It could be he has unblocked the sink drain side of things, but not the dishwasher drain pipe. Risking more water on the floor, if your flexible waste hose can be removed, pour some water down the waste pipe, see if it goes away fast enough.

One thing worth trying, if not done so, is to unplug it from the supply, and leave unplugged for 20 minutes or so. Then plug it in and see if it operates OK then. Maybe try that first.

SOURCE: LG dishwasher

I bought a stainless steel Lg less than 15 months ago for 800.00and it stopped working. The manufacture said so sorry even though you didn't take delivery until the end of Jan. your warranty goes by purchase date. I would of been better of with a maytag.

SOURCE: LG Dishwasher making grinding noise then blinking E1 code 10 minutes later

Well done by resolving this problem. The other way to avoid the siphoning problem through the drain hose is adding an air gap valve/connector (available at any hardware store). You can use it even if you don't have a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink. That will assure that you have the proper height of the drain hose.
Hope this helps!

Delonghi Dishwasher

Can you please tell us the exact model of your dishwasher? What you can try initially is unplug the power cable of your unit for about 10 minutes, then plug it back in. See if that clears the error. Will give you follow up about the E1 error.

LG dishwasher LD2080TH Error code: E1

LG has programmed in the E1 error code to indicate when the drain pump is running, it is not receiving the back pressure it needs. This is most likely an indication that there is a water leak in the draining system.

LG Inverter Direct Drive dishwasher panel display has 3 illuminated dashes (---). Seems it has power, but won't start. Have waited an hour; dishwasher won't start and dashes won't go away.

I believe the time displays based on your selection. If you don't see any change when changing selection it may be a faulty touch panel.
Assuming you tried resetting the whole unit. Sounds like program error in the main board.

Lds 5811ww dishwasher e1

LG have a history of E1 error problems.

The controller board can be one cause, however, most of these are caused by a faulty circulation pump.

The impeller breaks on the shaft and does not turn, so it doesn't produce pressure. A pressure sensor activates, bringing up the 'E1" message.

The impeller and pump are a complete assembly.

Replacing it usually fixes the problem.
