Hi. trying to do the simple task of unscrewing ( anti-clockwise) the glass light cover in a NEFF U1422 double electric oven. No-luck. It seems jammed, and I don't want to force it in case I break something. WD-40 ?
No WD-40, turn of the power, break the bulb and remove the base with pliers. More than likely there is dielectric corrosion between the base and the socket and this makes removal next to impossible
Hi, DO NOT use WD40. Take a small towel or a rubber pad and grasp the lens with the palm of your hand. Turn it counter clockwise to release it.
It is very thick glass so, it should not break.
You might try to tighten it first. Sometimes a little nudge to tighten it will free it up.
I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
