When the device connected to the compture it make a sound by it does not act as plag and play device. I tried to install manually through add hardware procedures and it was installed fine but still the device can not be seen even after I restarted my computer

An x means it's disabled. Go enable the audio device in device manager

Try copying the drivers from CD to hard disk. If there is any error while copying the CD is corrupt. If it gets copied. Try to remove any drivers installed from Device Manager in Control Panel. Then connect your barcode scanner and scan for hardware change. If it gets detected manually install the drivers from the location on hard disk.

Sounds more like plug and pray, what device is this? Perhaps the driver needs to be installed before it gets plugged in.

It is a "plug-and-play" device, and Windows XP/Vista/7 are "plug-and-play-aware" systems.

The problem is more likely you don't have plug and play running in windows. To install the UPnP user interface

This sounds like your OS is not recognizing plug and play devices. You can try to do manual install from a CD or Manufacturers site.Just go to control panel and printers and click add printer and click add local printer and just follow the prompts. Make sure printer is unpluged from the pc before installation wizard tells you to plug it in since some will not install if plugged before driver or software installation. Hope this helps.

u shood install the modems driver on other computer and plug the modem when system is on and then it will auto detected by the system if not then go to control pannel and clik on add hardware and follow the instruction shown between the process

make sure your sound card is pluged all the way in turn on your computer go to my computer on the left side it will have control panel click on that and and click on add new hardware click next
then click [yes i have connected the hardware] then a list will come up go to the bottom and click [add new device] go to the recammended option click next and next again if u no the tipe of card u have this is ware u add it onc u do that click next when that is done restart and your done
