I have a Panasonic 7000 T2 that I haven't used in a while. I have a cord that goes from the keypad to the cash drawer and a power cord. There are two other outlets market CMT and CRT. Do I need cords for these and where do they go.

Hi.
E10 means drawer not closed within the given time (in programming). if you have the drawer closed already, make sure all three wires are connected between the drawer and the register (one of them senses the drawer state). Apart from that, you might have a programming, or memory issue. Has anyone played with the programming?
If you are still stuck, let me know.

Hi.
It sounds like a hardware problem, not programming. I would look at the drawer latch mechanism in the back of the drawer. Check the wiring to the solenoid (metal block in the back of the drawer). Make sure the drawer can be opened with the trigger underneath - this will tell you if the insert is jamming it, or the mechanics of the drawer are the problem. Apart from that, it is usually a drive fault in the electronics. Since this model is dying off rapidly now (the printers were a bad design by Epson), I wouldn't spend too much on it if I was you.

If the machine is dead, then you probably have a bad battery. It should be changed every 3 to 5 years by the dealer. If it has been left too long, then this is a common symptom and the machine loses all programming. Otherwise, you may have a faulty power supply or mode lock unit. It sounds like you need to see a dealer about it.
