I recently changed the battery on my watch for the first time, however it now refuses to tell the correct time. Going through the settings it knows what time it is however it wants to point the hands to the wrong place to display this, can anyone advise a home fix or will I have to send it off to be repaired?
You don't say whether it has the minutes right and the hour wrong or if both are wrong. If it's just that the hour is wrong, you need to set the time zone.
Atomic clocks and watches have a "zero" position. Your manual should tell you how to "zero" the watch and what the time should be when it is zeroed. Each manufacturer is different. I have one that points to 3:00 and one that points to 12:00. If you zero your watch and it doesn't point to the right position, you will need to remove the movement from the case and manually move the hands to the zero position.
Been there, done that.
