Picture problem on panasonic Vierra plasma tv

I am owner of a Panasonic TX-P42V10e plasma tv since 2009. My problem is the following: When playing a standard definition channel, using terrestrial or the satelite receiver of my tv, on Normal or Dynamic mode the picture appears have a converage RGB problem. There is no problem when playing an HD channel, using the same receivers. Also there is no problem when playing something else using external sources like pc, blu-ray players, game console e.t.c. I will be appreciate to anyone could help or advise me to solve this annoying problem.

Thanks you for your reply but the problem is not concerning the size of the picture. The problem likes that an RGB components malfunction as only red and bleu shadows appears on the screen. I remind you that is only happenned in Normal and Dynamic mode . There is no problem in Cinema and THX mode. Also there is no problem when playing something else from my blu-ray player or my external satelitte receiver, my game console or my desktop pc..If these details are helpfull to you, i am remainning your comments and advices.

It looks like you are saying standard definition pictures do not cover the screen like HD pictures do. Standard def is formatted 4:3 and high def is 16:9. They are not the same so your high def screen is made to display the not as tall but wider high def picture. In order to fill the screen with the taller and not as wide 4:3 aspect ratio std def picture you must tell the TV to stretch the picture or otherwise fill the screen. The TV will have controls you can exercise for this purpose and you can set it up to always show std def in a particular manner. The alternative, if you want the standard Def picture to look true to form, is to view standard def in Letter Box form. It's appearance will then include black panels on the sides of the picture. So the problem is not with the TV but in accepting older format pictures playing on newer format displays (TVs.)

There is no zoom or aspect ratio on my Panasonic Vierra remote and the picture is too large for the screen. How can I fix this problem

Try exploring the picture set up menus on the device that is supplying the picture, it may be a cable box or DVD player or other. Change it to 16:9 ratio on that device. Does the problem exist for all types of devices supplying pictures to your TV or just one?
