Trying to connect hp printer to wrt150n - Linksys Wireless-N WRT150N Router

You can try to reset your router
Reset the Linksys WRT150N wireless home router if you are experiencing connection issues or have forgotten your customized router login information. Resetting the Linksys WRT150N will erase your Internet connection settings, wireless security preferences and all other personal settings from the router. This procedure will restore the WRT150N back to its factory state.

Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

ask you ISP what are the IP address and DNS server address that you need to feed in the properties setting of the TCP/IP setting in the Network Connection wizard in Control Panel
without these the connection will not work

On the vista laptop, make certain that the firewall is not blocking the wireless connection. Try to turn off the firewall and see if that helps.

Put the printer back in the box it came in.....

It does sound like you need to upgrade firmware. Not sure what OS you are running as Linksys are still in the process of updating Vista firmware. Anyway here is the URL you need:

Probably need a firmware update.

Since you already tried a different ethernet cable and still the same, you can try this just to make sure if the lan port of the router is bad or not, connect one of your pc or your laptop to the router and check if the lan port of the router will light up. If the port light of the router is on when the pc is connected to the router better check the lan connection of your printer.

Your hardware might not be compatible with eachother.
