WRT160N current time not available - Linksys WRT160N Wireless Router

I wouldn't waste anymore time on trying to fix it - after two years of use get another one but NOT a Linksys. I'd get a Netgear.

You are using WRT160N router. This router has issues with the firmware.
Try to upgrade the firmware of the router. Firmware is the software of the router.
Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router.
Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router.
On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.

Check the IP address on the Vista wireless network connection. Make sure that there is not static IP address on the wireless connection. That could be one of the reason.

Try hard resetting it for 1 minute to 2 minutes ; press and hold the reset button properly for that certain period and after that powercycle it.

WRT160N router has issues with firmware. Upgrade the firmware of the router.
Download the new firmware from the web site www.linksys.com/download . save it on your computer. open the set up page of the router.
Upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware , reset the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset after 30 seconds. wait for 1 minute. unplug the power and plug it back in. wait for 1 minute.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router.

Go to www.linksys.com and download the software. Sounds like the disc could be damage.

You really shouldn't need an installation disk to install this router. here is a link to everything available from linksys. Review the user manual for any questions about the product. Also there are no drivers needed. Everything is either wired or wireless. To access the settings you just enter the appropriate IP into your browser. All of this can be found in the manual.

you need to go to tivos website and see what "wireless usb adapters" are available for your unit.They range between 40 to 80 dollars each if your tivo is wireless compatible

This is a tremendous network management tool well worth the $. If you dont pay, you can still use most features.

Get it and use it to get your connection going at least.
