Sharper Image Juicer locking bar won't engage.

I have taken the juicer apart and found the little green box with the silver lever will not be engaged by the black lever. I can switch it over manually, but it will not engage when trying to operate the machine regularly.

SOURCE: how to clean juicer

i had the same problem and figured out an easy way to open it without the tool. DO NOT take out the screws. I simply used chop sticks. I put one in each small hole and held the chop sticks in an X and turned the top counterclockwise!

How do i get the screen filter out of juicer
I had the same problem with my Salton juicer, after making a delicious juice it was almost impossible to remove the auger like many of you, with patience and lots of elbow grease I manage to take apart. Here is my solution to this problem and it works very well for me, its simple, before juicing, disassemble your juicer and add a little oil with your finger on the silicon seal (inside and outside) see picture attached, assemble the juicer.

After juicing, remove the cover, don't try removing the auger, instead grab the basket and wobble it and it should get free, it works for me and it should work for you too. Happy juicing to all!

Dash juicer wont turn on
Just fixed this problem!

Take bottom off juicer. The 4th screw is an "odd" one...I drilled the center out and used a flat head.

When you look up inside the juicer, you will see a silver lever arm. It touches the arm lock mechanism (so the juicer will only run when the arm is engaged).

The lever arm should be behind the black lever arm part on the side. When I opened mine up, the silver level arm was on top of the black post thingy. I took a screwdriver and pushed it off the black post thingy, so it the very bottom of the silver lever is behind it. (I can no longer see the entire silver lever easily when it is in the correct position.)

Totally fixed it.

I think it bounced out of the correct spot when I juiced some hard veggies or when I moved it, it hit the counter pretty hard.

Anyway, good luck....I am not a mechanic so sorry if the language is non-technical.

Why won't my Jack La lanne's come on and it's new never been on
If there is not a flaw in the product itself it could be a problem with assembly or that the locking bar is not locked in place properly. The juicer will not operate if the locking bar does not click in to place in to the grooves on both sides of the lid.

If you are unable to lock the locking bar in place it suggests that some other component has not been installed in the correct position. Review the assembly instructions to make sure all pieces are properly positioned.

Hi, while operating this juicer, the plastic piece from the top cover has broken off, is there a replacement part for the top cover for this juicer available?
I would contact Macy's customer service for an answer to this question. It is not a model that has a retail parts division. Macy's should be able to provide a solution for you as they still carry these units. Otherwise, you may wish to purchase a new one from them and return your old one to them in the box you receive. It will end up costing you shipping, if you do not have one near you, but right now they are only $79.99. Model 8021

Was given Jack Lalanne power juicer elite model MT-1066 for Christmas just opened it now & there is no manual. It is in it's lock position & there is no power at all.Can you help me ??????

Jack LaLanne power juicer 250 no longer works.
The stainless bar should be on the correct slots on top of the juicer. It has a safety switch on those bars. Smell the motor from under the juicer, it should not smell like burnt. Press hard on the switch, it might be loose.

How to dissassemble Jack Lalanne Power Juicer?
After about a half hour I finally figured it out. I'll go through all the steps.

1. Remove pusher from chute.
2. Pull the locking bar down over the spout.
3. Remove lid.
4. This part is tricky. Stick the orange crescent tool into the blade holes and while holding the filter basket steady with one hand, turn the blade couterclockwise while pulling up.You do have put a little muscle into it. And remember, if you don't hold the filter steady, the whole damn thing just spins.
5. Remove the receptacle.

Good juicer, but it seems unnecessarily complicated.
