Not sure what kind of connections you have, but be sure your unit is recieving good clean power. Try using another 12v constant and possibly a good 12v switched power source. Double check your ground wire as well. The unit may also be broken and might need service.

voice only comes out thru the front speaker, if you hook up amp to rear rca, change to fronts. also speaker outputs, too. btw, did you turn on the voice/volume at the menu??
You can reset your DVD recorder by: Making sure that the recorder is on and that the disc tray is empty Using the front panel controls, press and hold STOP and press STANDBY/ON. The recorder will turn off and all settings will be re-set.
Did you hook up the wire harness correctly? Because you are not receiving power to the monitor. check these connections again. Maybe you have the wrong harness. Are you using the one from your car or DVD player? Did you splice the wires together? Do you have a correct color scheme to your vehicles wiring? you may also need to bypass the monitor in order to view the screen while driving (if you're a rebel against johnny law)
Can you be more specific like what are you pairing your D3 with, and when you turn down the volume? The volume of the D3 or the pairing device? More info would be helpful.
