The candence amp's red and green lights r always on now and before only the green one would be on. So does that mean something is wrong witht he subs or the amp?????? HELP

Sounds to me that the amplifier is fried, i had the same amp and the same exact problem. Hooked up a new amp to my subs, worked fine, hooked up new subs to the cadence, same thing, thump, thump, thump, and the lights were both on. These amps run good for a while but they do tend to fry if you listen to the, to loud for a long period of time (in my case a half hour). Hope This Helps

No sound from subs except for two thumps when they’re first powered on and occasionally thumps if I toggle phase.

That unit may be as old as 18 years. Things fail in that age category. You need to look at the amp and see if the protection light is on. The parts inside that may have failed require soldering skills to repair

is ground on capacitor hooked up to gnd on amplifier ? if so it could be ya problem . ground cap to chassis and amp to chassis. try amp WITHOUT CAP and see what happens . Cap may also need charging with a resistor first . I'd remove cap(for now ) and retest amp for normal operation. Go from there.

Sub keeps loosin bass

Its probably not your subwoofer- its likely that your amp is showing its age after 2 years of bumping -But it could be that you have partially roasted the coil on the sub which is tripping your amp into protect mode-thus shutting down throw a different sub in there for a week and listen to it and if it stops acting up then its probably the sub if it still shuts down then it may be time for a new amp

Constant pounding of subwoofer

Have you tried another pair of RCA's? Sounds like you have a bad pair of them.

Kickers dont beat like they should

try to check and clean the wiring as clean as possible to avoid messing up on your connection. Check the polarity of you subs to yuor amp if you have it connected on the outher way around it would not give you a good result. check the polarity this will solve your problem. Over powering your sub will fry it easily try to tune it a 10" sub wont give you a 15" performance..

Subs dont beat like they should

you've spent alot of money on **** by the sounds of it!!. you should only ever run multiple subs the same brand, power and resistance you can just connect any old subs to a system you need to wire them depending on the load that the amp needs to see. first thing is to try the amp/s on a individual sub to check your amps still work once done check the subs 1 by 1.

Phoenix Gold Xenon 1200 mono not pushing subs and making noise.

This sounds like a problem with the head unit output to the sub amp. Are you using a Pioneer head unit? If so, you may have a problem with some surface mounted fuses inside the radio on the main board. Certain Pioneer head units have a common problem with these fuses blowing. They are fuses for the ground on the RCA outputs.

Let me know if this is the case, and if it is I can give you the part number of these fuses and tell you where they are located, but you would need good soldering skills to replace them. Also let me know what model number your head unit is.

Thanks,

Dave

Help me...

If you had 4 single voice coil speakers you can create either of those 2 ohm or 4 ohm setups. If you run 2 of them in parallel you will get the 4 ohms. If you run 4 of them in parallel you will get the 2 ohms. In parallel I mean that you connect the positives together and run them to the positive on the amp and the connect the negatives together and run them to the negative on the amp. Let me know if you need more help. Good Luck.

Amp Issues

1) Make sure a bridged load of no less than 4 ohms is applied.
2) make sure both the left & right channels are working.

My subwoofers have a heart beat to them

Ok.... FIRST COMMON PROBLEM: recheck your ground connection. Make sure that your amps ground wire is securely bolted to the metal body of your car. Not only that- yo uhave to scrape or use sandpapar to make sure that the terminal is touching bare metal.. this is a very common problem. Nobody realizes that the ground connection is just as impoarant as the power connection... Next unplug youir rca cables from the amp. If the heartbeating goes away then mabye you have a rca cable or deck issue. If you can wiggle the rcas at the amp and make it heartbeat more or less.. then perhaps the rca terminals have come unsoldered form the circuit board... in any case without me looking at it personally this is about all i can tell you. CHeck your connections and GOOD LUCK!!!!!
