Buzzing TV- Polaroid 37" FLM-3732

I have a 37" Polaroid LCD (FLM-3732) that recently started making a buzzing sound when it is turned on. It started a little over a month ago and it only buzzes for around 15 minutes, then it won't do it again until its been turned off for a while. I was wondering if anyone has any similar happenings with their TV and if so, what I can do to fix it.

I am having the same problem with my Polaroid 37 inch lcd tv. When I turn it on for the first time it buzzes and there are lines across the screen. It stops after about 5 minutes....Any idea what causes this? The tv is only 4 years old.

Actually it's a poloroid FLM-3732 37 in. It buzzes/whizzes when I turn it on. Picture and sound are clear, however.

Probably due to a bad solder connection on one of the inverter board transformers. If the problem persists it will burn a hole through the board. An open transformer will cause the set to shut off. This should be repaired by a qualified technician.

Buzzing sound

Hello, This is a problem with the switching transformer or the ballast used to fire the backlight. You will have to replace the ballast and or the switching transformer soon. In order to replace these items, I would suggest taking it to a qualified TV technician for servicing. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com
