Tv shuts off after 5 to 10 minutes on its own

I think u shall check the timer in the tv menu.

this is an indication of a overcurrent/ overvoltage error....meaning short in a voltage supply. I have seen this problem in the shop with this set. IN MY CASE it was shorted convergence chips. but it could also be any of the low voltage supplies 5,10 15,-15 lines

You can access service menu by holding volume(-) on TV and press OK on your remote.....

in windows power settings, you ajust the time the monitor runs and shuts down one setting is do you want the monitor to stop after 5,10 or so mins you answer never that will cure the shut down

Replaing the lamp will fix this problem most of the time.If not count the blinks. This is an error code.

Check that you have not got an auto power off setting on. Check that the aerial connections are good. That the signal is strong from the stations it is picking up. Weak signals can cause the box to shut down.
It the box is very hot when it shuts down, you might have a fault on it.
