Bluetooth Trouble shooting my bluetooth I have a Sony Ericsson W810i and although i have been able to pair this with my bluetooth I now cannot switch the blootooth symbol off when i am not using it please could you help.Thanks

Go on the internet and type in Sony erricsson w810i bluetooth solutions
and if nothing then try going into the settings and click the reset button that should do it

Make sure your phone and the other Bluetooth device are charged, switched on and within range of each other. Make sure Bluetooth wireless technology is turned on, and that the devices are set to be visible for other Bluetooth devices. Check that the two devices are paired, and have found each other. You placed this question under the Sony Ericsson W810i, is this the correct model number of your phone? If yes, there's no need for you to install Bluetooth to this phone. Because it has already a Bluetooth installed in this phone. You need to refer to the user manual of this phone, to see on how you can enable it.

You can transfer only media files (don't know why). To do it, go to media, prees "menu", select "recieve using bluetooth" and after that send from sony ericsson. 

hi there 46-79 , you dont say how you are trying to connect the Sony W810i , are you using USB cable or bluetooth to try and connect the W810i ? if your using bluetooth you will need to purchase a bluetooth dongle for the laptop so it can communicate with your mobile.
                        If you are using a usb cable to connect the laptop to your Sony W810i make sure you are using the proper type of usb cable , some usb cables are not suitable for connecting mobiles to a PC or a laptop.visit sony ericcsons website and sign up for free to find out the comaptible types of usb cable for your mobile...

You must operate your bluetooth headset HBH-PV700 in discovery mode in order for your mobile to discover the headset and then pair the two devices. To activate the discovery mode of your headset, while it is switched OFF press the switch on button and leave it pressed for approximately 10 seconds, then search for it with your mobile and pair the devices. most of the times the code needed for pairing is 0000 (zeros)

the problem may b with some bluetooth settings…sometimes what happens is that bt visibility of ur bluetooth device is not shown to all…so kindly cheak these sett and verrify them according to ur handset manuall as suggested by Sony Erricsson…

It may be that the phone does not play music through bluetooth and that it only plays through the earphones that come with the phone. The only way to find out is to read the documentation on the phone or try another bluetooth headset, really. The headset cannot be faulty as it pairs correctly and it works with calls. Bluetooth headsets are not really intended for playing music as it drastically reduces battery life.

1) Make sure headset is off. 2) Press and hold the answer button until the light flashes green and red. 3) If it only flashes green, press and hold both volume buttons until the light lashes red and green. 4) It is now ready to pair: follow the instructions in the bluetooth menu of your phone. When asked for the passcode enter 0000. 5) All done.
