My BB already has water damage, but still works. Today my same BB got dropped in a glass of tea. It was ok for a few minutes then started flickering and turned completely black. I took out the battery, popped off the screen, & took out the sim card hoping to let everything dry & it would work again. But so far it hasn't. The screen flickered again and turned completely black. Then it turned on for a second & where the signal bars usually are it said "off" & on the left side of the screen it showed a black plus sign inside of a circle, kid of like this (+) but completely incased in a circle. I then again took the battery & sim card out because I was scared it might mess it up more. What should I do to fix the screen???
If your BlackBerry gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.
1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON
2. Pull out the battery.
3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture.
4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight.
5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours.
6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.
