Yesterday my Maytag washer spilled water over the top while washing. The tub seemed to be trying to spin clockwise while washing. I tried three loads of clothes and cannot duplicate. I noticed that the tub turns slowly clockwise while washing.

your water level switch is operated by air pressure in a line that comes from the bottom of the drum up the back and into where the timer and water level selector are it can be adjusted but if you don't know how you'll have to have someone fix it for ya
the problem is that your pressure switch is not working properly. if you take the screws out of the back of the head you will find the pressure switch. first unplug the washer then undo the hose from pressure switch. blow trew the hose, then blow into the pressure switch if you hear the pressure switch click then re assemble and try again put on small load and watch if fills almost to the top or over flows replace pressure switch
hI I HAVE REMOVE THE TOP COVER. YOU WILL SEE AT LEFT A PLASTIC ACTUATOR WHO MUST BE UNPLUG FROM ANOTHER PLASTIC PIN. JUST PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND THE PROBLEM WAS GONE!
