This model has sometimes poor power supply boards.
replacing them is a terrible job, original boards are only available through official EIKI distributors.

When the XG-E1200U shows the standby light but does not power on, it usually means several of the 100uf 16 Volt surface mount capacitors have dried up on the main board. Recommend replacing all of these for continued reliability.

there is a fuse on the power supply next to the plug (on the inside), but this model of projector has power supply issues. the biggest being that infocus no longer has parts, schematics, or component cross references for the lp240. the circuit boards were made by another company that made had their own components and now no longer makes circuit boards (they make fans and bearings), and they have no schematics either. so, i'm sorry to say that the machine is doa. there are no replacement parts available and almost no way to fix the old ones.

the resolution might not match from presenter to projector. are you using rgb, composite or s-video? the signal might not match. there might be an auto adjust on the projector to read and match the elmo's resolution. if not, the elmo may have an issue sending a powerful enough signal to the projector, and need a new main board.

very common with this model, the ballast board needs repairs / replacement.in this case the power & the ballast board is one single PCB

that model has issues with the power supply board. unfortunately, there are no replacement boards.

Some Proxima projectors had power supply problems, which resulted in either a dead unit, or, in the early stages of failure, might take a while to come on (maybe even 10 minutes or so). At the college where I'm employed, we've had 4 or 5 of the DP2000X models with this problem. The cause was a bad electrolytic capacitor in the power supply, namely a 47MFD/25volt unit, in the primary side of the circuit. I have pics of this circuit board. Another Proxima model had a shorted ceramic disc capacitor, and a blown fuse. If you have someone who is technically savvy, they could check your model for such a problem
