Can't seem to get nextech memory stick to fit into IBM computer

Hello wswarts547,
It's possible that the module of memory you have is not the right type for the motherboard you are trying to put it in.
There are different types of memory. (DDR, DDR2, DDR3, and SO-DIMM is for Laptops)
Each has a not or two in different places that prevent installing the wrong type into the wrong socket. Check the specifications of the motherboard and make sure you have the correct module type.
Hope this helps!

Check with some quality video card companies to see which cards are compatible with your motherboard. You might find you can't get a very good quality card or maybe you might find some quality cards you can install yourself. Its only a couple of screws. Mostly is it compatible with your motherboard.

My computer won't start at all

There is a couple of things that it could be. Could be a battery issue. Try starting it without the battery, just AC. Could be a bad memory chip. Try removing the memory and starting it. If these don't work then it's the power management chip on the motherboard. You'll have to replace the motherboard.

Motherboard

That laptop is serviced by Lenovo. This link will take you to the page that gives you the part number. The motherboard is tagged as part 21, on their diagram.

They indicate that it is not a "Customer Replaceable Unit", though. They can provide you with a repair solution, but you'll need to conact them. The support methods can be found here:
