I have a Tromm Washer and Dryer. Washer cycle time taking twice as long as time on indicator. Mildew smell still there after I have cleaned filter and run wash cycle. Drum vibrates horribly on spin...

You may have a problem with the motor sensor. Replace the motor sensor and it should take care of the problem. As for the mold issue, purchase some washing machine cleaner and follow directions. It should take care of most of the smell issue. Good luck

My washer has a sour smell how do i get rid of smell

It sounds like you've got mildew somewhere in the washer. I'd recommend running a cycle, just like you would with a large load of clothes but WITHOUT the clothes, and use a full cup of bleach instead of detergent. You could let the basin fill and then turn the washer off to let the solution soak for an hour or so, and then complete the cycle. Bleach kills mildew...an and bunch of other stinky stuff too. Repeat if necessary.
Good luck!

I have exactly the same problem!

Try using the tub clean cycle and use a good dose of bleach or vinegear. Here is how to run the tub clean cycle.

To start the TUB CLEAN cycle:
1. Remove any clothing or items from the washer and close the door.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and add liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment.
NOTE: Do not add any detergent to the detergent compartments. Excessive suds may be produced and leak
from the washer.
3. Close the dispenser drawer slowly.
4. Power On and then press the Extra Rinse button for 3 seconds. (Prewash option will be selected.)
5. Press the Start/Pause button to start.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open to dry around the washer door opening, door seal and
door glass.

Washer smells bad

Whirlpool and Tide make a cleaner that you put into the washer and run it through a cycle. Front loaders get a build-up that cannot be cleaned by hand. Make sure you are using a detergent that is marked "HE". Do not overfill the detergent or softener cups. I've heard that other used a lot of bleach in a wash cycle to clear out the smell. Bleach is bad to use if you're on a septic system, though.

LG Tromm Washer

Wash empry with detergent and double bleach with extra hot water. When cycle is complete open the door to the washer and let airdry. When you close the door with it wet it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also not be using the correct detergent or the correct amount of detergent.
