you need to check/clear filter, its located within sump hose @ bottom of drum quite trickey clip to remove slide it to the side to assist then withdraw nylon filter and clear.
Why no spin?..Is the water fully pumped out, is it out of load balance? This happens when too few items are in the drum the machine senses this and will not spin.......Hope this of some help
Most hotpoint machines can be a bit sensitive on the balance control. If you have a half full machine, somtimes it wount spin as high as you want. It will try some spins until it finishes without high spin.
Things that couse this are, worn motor brushes, unplug remove the top, the motor should be at the top, if so remove the wire attached to the spade of the grey cartridge then unclip using a very thin screwdriver pushed down the back of the cartridge, and slide out if there is only a small peice of brush showing they must be changed, if ok spin the drum by hand if it moves freely the the drum is ok, the last thing to check is if it moves through the wash, but its just the spin that it wont move, there is a blockage, and the preassure vessel wont allow it to spin.
