Philips sound problems

I had a picture but no sound...contacted Philips support which was absolutely no help. Problem fixed by running the auto-channelling...it takes a few minutes but the sound came back when it was finished...good luck and hope it works for you.

Same problem with my HTS8100. Little-to-no sound. Sometimes sound comes on very intermittently. I downloaded the software patch from the Philips website and installed it. This fixed the sound problem for about a week, then the problem came back. I'm not sure what else to do.

The problem is a faulty inverter kit (2 boards).
I live in the Netherlands and had it twice, tv is 2 and a half years old! In the Netherlands Philips replaces the inverterkit without any
costs for the consumer (even after warranty time) cause they have
admitted that it is a production fault.Philips made a new inverterkit
which should solve the problem indefenit.Be sure the kit is Version
1.3! I had 1.2 after the first problem, and that went wrong after 7 months again. Today got revision1.3 installed which is Philips final solution.

Unplug,replug the tv an hour later.Go to ur tv menu reset the Audio setting.The setting will go back to the factory setting,should work solved ur problems.Not than ur Tuner signal board have problems,must change.

hey crs246, I have the same exact problem with my philips tv same model. Have you gotten any help that you can share with me. Any help would be appreciated.

the problem is dry joints om the main amplifier board or on the speaker wires.

My phillips tv model # 55pl9773/17 sound is too low when im watching regular tv, but when i switch from tv to av1 or av2 (watching a dvd movie or playing video games) the sound is normal. How do i get my cable TV to sound the same?

could it be that the sound is being directed through a optical output on the back of the telly?

most likely its the audio amplifier board where your having the problems

it seems that there is a problem in your sound section. it seems that there is no proper supply to sound section or some capacitor might be faulty.
