FIXYA The power supply output of my Dell Dimension 8200 desktop pc is delayed for minutes after i press the ON button in the tower front. The momentary button switch is OK. The delay is 15 minutes if the computer has been idle for a few hours, but is only a few seconds if the button is pushed shortly after XP shuts the computer off. Fearing that some unknown cause will completely prevent a power-on, I have been keeping it on 24/7. Does anyone know how to fix it, or where I can look for a fix? I posted this weeks ago, suspecting a bad switch, before recognizing the delay.

I would unplug the power supply from the motherboard, wait a little while and then plug it back in.
Try to power everything back up and it should come up.
I am assuming you are getting a light on the motherboard that indicates power is being supplied?

I had the same issue with my Dell Dimension 5150 and I replaced the front I/O USB Audio Panel and it booted right up.
