I have a PFSF6PKKWW GE fridge bottom freezer, which is accumulating water under deli tray. My husband has opened up the back panel and defrosted the ice several times along with draining the hose located in the back of the appliance. It seems like this is happening ever two weeks. Does this mean that we need to replace a particular part or do we need to get rid of this fridge? The appliance was purchased 6 years ago.
Try going further than defrost and draining the hose. There is gunk that builds up and you need to clean that out. Use a pipe cleaner(the fuzzy wires used mostly for art projects. They actually can clean pipes and water lines!!) Also, you can pick up a pack of pellets used for breaking down the "gunk" build up.

Was the door left open for a long period of time.? Sometimes this causes so much ice that it re freezes and can't clear the drain. The only solution is to unplug and let sit with doors open for at least 24 hours. to get all the ice off the coils. Then use a pipe cleaner on the drain then use a turkey baster to force water through. then a mild bleach solution. Check the door gaskets if they are ripped or loose or the door warped and not sealing tight this will also cause this problem. If this still doesn' t solve the problem it is probably a defrost problem Usually the timer or defrost thermostat.

HI to clean the drain tube. pull fridge away from the wall .find the drain tube, by the drain tray. push a small plastic hose, up the drain tray. blow in the hose, to clear the debris. thanks the appliance doc.

From what I can gather, you have a self defrosting freezer and the "motor" you speak of is the fan inside the freezer. If this is correct, do this:
Unplug freezer. Unload all food into coolers or other freezer space. Leave freezer door open for a day to allow it to manually defrost. Plug freezer back in after minimum 24 hours and confirm fan running and cooling before loading back up with food.

I am not an expert, but if the defrost heater is not working, then maybe when it was unpluged the coils didn't completly unthaw. If not, the freezer still will not cool properly.

Thank you for the quick response. I just have one last question before we clean it out, where would the gunk build up be located?
When you take the hose off, run it in right where you took the hose off.
