My experience is that after charging for some tens of minutes it will start. But I seem to be unable to charge the battery enough to have it work for long.
There is a possiblity that the ciructs inside could ahve been damaged but you could try reprogramming.
To reprogramme violet you will need to install the leapfrog connect software which you can download here (Windows) or here(Mac). Then follow the instructions in this PDF
You have to download the software for your computer that allows you to connect Violet in order to change the name, etc. Once you do that, connect Violet with the cable included and follow the steps. If you need more help let me know. It's a little tricky sometimes if you don't do things in the precise order.
if u have connected after the system has started you need to restart it to make it functional ...
if its a 'USB mouse no restart requires...
if neither works probabily problem with mouse ..just replace it !!! instead of wasting time
yes there should be two parts. First there is the actual computer and the second is the base (where the games are connected to). The television should be set where you would usually watch a dvd/or play
a game(depending on what model tv) the computer is wireless so you can use it from the sofa etc. but you must have the base in order for the game to work. I just purchased one and my son loves it.
If you plugged in a 9 volt power supply where you only needed 5 volts, you probably burned something out. Although the power cords have the same end, the voltages are critical. You can try to get the Leap Pad replaced but, I wouldn't get my hopes up.
You blew the circuit board by putting to much power into it. Never use more power then suggested for this reason. All adaptors have a volt and an amp rating. Sorry it happend best wishes!
