Happened to me. found loose drive clutch cable. Adjustment bolt is just under the handlebar, attached to the cable. adjusting lock nut came loose and tension adjusting bolt spun out from vibration. retighten sleeve onto adjustment bolt and see if drive drive will engage. IF NOT.......look to other end of cable......UGH!

96 ROVER DISC. Has strong reverse - won't engage any forward gears. Fluid seems full even when warm.

Make sure the 4wd shifter is in correct position and hasn't slipped out of correct spot to get you moving forward.

Transmission--oil pressure is 60 psi--transmission will not engage in any position--oil looks and smells ok--what ay be the problem--thie 98 6000 wit 135 km.

Well if you have 60 psi at idle then the pump seems to be working. If it holds in park then the axles are not stripped or broken. The input splines in the torque converter could be stripped. Forward and reverse share a set of cluthches and a sprag , you could have a problem in that area.I would guess that the seal is blown on the input clutch piston.

I have Troy-Bilt storm 7524 snow blower which normally works fine, however, it has started to have problems shifting back into forward gear after being reversed. I'll put the snow-blower into reverse gear...

Try lubing the linkage where it shifts from forward and to reverse the linkage is most likely freezing up or has snow or ice build up causing it not to shift, My thought is your shoving it hard enough that it finally engages when you get the snow or ice to break off.

Did you try to disengage the safety feature that should shut the tractor off when the blades are engaged and the tractor is placed in reverse? I believe that it is located under the shift leaver

C 6 transmission

Forward drive in the C6 requires both the forward clutch AND the low/reverse, one-way clutch, or intermedaite band to engage. Since you have reverse but no forward, the forward clutch is most likely the problem, since it is needed only for forward speeds and does not affect reverse. Sounds like a trans rebuild.
