My front load washer won't finish spin/drain cycle. was beeping and flashing F02

  • bridesong Jun 15, 2009

I took off the kick panel and unscrewed the plastic clean out. I didn't see a screen of any kind. There were holes in the plastic part that I pulled out but nothing blocking it. I can now get it to spin but at the end of each cycle, wash, rinse, spin, I have to unsrew the clean out, let all the water run out and then move it to the next cycle. Any thoughts what else could be the problem. Is there another place to clean out where a clog could be?

Long drain? remove lower cover on front..3 screws across bottom edge. there is a screw-on cover to a clean out. has a screen in there and may be clogged. prepare for a lot of water..u might lean it back against the wall to limit the mess. clean out is white plastic right up front.

It doesn't finish the cycle and stops and flashes F02

Possible that the drain cycle is not active and so the program trips off. Check the drain for clogging , check the power to the drain from the controller during the cycle, if there is no power the program controller is faulty.

Keeps showing code f 02 and wont completely empty water it never finishes spin cycle?

F02 error means if the drain time has exceeded more than 8 minutes. After four minutes suds will be displayed on the screen and again after 4 minutes the F02 error code appears.

Check the drain line for any clogs or blocks which hinder the draining procedure..Use of more detergent can even cause this condition..

Be sure you are using only 2 tablespoons of HE soap and not more than that. Check your drain filter also and replace them if needed.

Remove the 3 Torx head screws (located left, center, and right) from the front bottom kick panel of the washer. The drain/filter/pump is right in front

During the Normal washing cycle. 02 F appears. and cycle stops. Cycle hasn't finished rinse or spin.

Hi
Error F02 appears after 8mins of SUDs error. Error F02 means Long drain, means washer is taking longer time than normal to drain. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. NOTE: After 4 minutes the SUD error will be displayed, and then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.
? Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
? Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
? Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
? If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

There are 3 small 9/32 hex head screws that hold the front panel on. Unscrew the 3 hex head screws (9/32 socket or nut driver size), now remove the front kick panel. Unscrew the white drain cap -WARNING-- lots of water will drain out when you loosen the white cap. Once all the water is out, remove and take out the filter trap.
Hope this helps... Please post back for more information

My Kenmore elite he3t is giving me a problem in the spin cycle. Even thought the spin setting is set on high or extra high, the drum turns very slowly and will eventually stop and the washer starts...

The machine will not advance to the high-speed spin cycle unless the water is drained first. The F02 error code manifests this condition as it means draining problem. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working. The display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice.

Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Click on the link below for further troubleshooting should the cleaning of the filter does not resolve the problem.

Flashing F2

“F02” (Drain Problem)
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug
washer or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Is the drain hose kinked?
Is the drain hose frozen?
Is the drain hose clogged?
Is the drain hose more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor?

After running this check list, plug back up and try a complete cycle using cold water and no detergent. Sudding can mimic a drainage issue as well. make sure you are using the correct HE detergent to prevent over sudding.
