Video Cam Suite 1.0 does not work with Windows Vista 64 bit

Requirements:

Microsoft Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows Vista® 32-bit or 64-bit with Service Pack 1, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP with Service Pack 3
Creative Live! Cam Vista IM

Notes:

To install this driver
1. Download the LCVA_0420_DRV_LA_1_01_01.exe file onto your local hard disk.
2. Double-click the downloaded file.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

You may also choose to install the updated application file

I would strongly suggest you consider using the Creative AutoUpdate features which can be accessed on the above page.

Thanks for allowing us to handle your situation.

What error messages are you getting with your Windows Vista?

Please click here for the camera software suite I know this will help out allot.

Now if your still getting error's my next question are you running 64 bit or a 32 bit windows vista operating system.

The driver was built for windows Xp but should work on Windows Vista Home Basic.

I sure hope this helps you out.

How do you set it up

Downloads and install the appropriate driver software from Digital Blue:

I cannot load the Video Cam Suite 2.0 on my computer with vista. It states the this application does not support a 6 4 bit operating system. Are you sure you want to continue? How do I remedy this...

Can't tranfer video from camera to computer

The Camera comes with a program called video cam suite. install it. once its installed open it and on the side of the program click your cameras drive. it will load. once its done loading click the day taht your video is on and on the left click copy to pc. This does not work on Windows 7 or Vista 64 bit.

If you are on a Windows 7 or Vista 64 bit plug in your camera. open the drive and there is a folder called Sd_Video. This does NOT mean SD card. so once you click it scroll down to the newest folder that has a number on it
The PRIVATE folder has nothing of use, but do not delete it.
once in the folder copy all of the Video files to your pc.

Sure there is, use this software Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 to keep every driver up to date. Have a nice day

Excuseme If I don't explain so clair, because I don't speak english well, but let me try that I did to solve this problem. First I installed a Virtual Machine(VMware Workstation 6.5.1) in miy Pc(64 bits) . Second, I installed a Windows Vista home basic(32 bits) or Windows XP Sp2 (32bits) on it., depending of what Operative sistem do you have in your real machine. And finally I could installed the Videocam suit in the Virtual Machine and everything was ok. I could transfer all my videos of the camera to the pc very easy The only inconvenient is that you need to transfer the videos downloaded of the virtual machine to the real machine with a flash memory or similar something.

I have the same problem. What I will do is download the camera to a DVD recorder using the A/V cord which came from the camers. I purchased AVS4U program for $59 lifetime option with free frequent updates. I can down load the DVD to the computer and I can format them in about all possible formats eg WAV, MPEG 2 etc. I can edit the songs, etc to how I want them. I do this with live performances of our band "Charlie Horse Band" and I can record the whole set (up to an hour) and I can manipulate the final product with the editing functions of the many AVS4U products that come at the one price.
