Collecting Social Security Benefits and Unemployment Insurance at the same time.

I am 71 years old and collect Social Security. In addition, I work part-time, approx. 20 hours per week at the airport as a ramp agent. In February 2013 I was diagnosed with stage I colon cancer. Unfortunately the cancer spread to my liver causing some surgeries and chempotherapy. I had to take a leave of absence from work. The cancer is now in remission and the doctor stated I can return to work on March 15, 2014. My employer tell me that they do not have a position available for me and will have to lay me off. My question is can I still collect full social security benefits and unemployment insurance?

At your age you are fine to collect both.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your answer that I am able to collect unemployment insurance and social security at the same time. Even though I am 71 and collecting social security, they still deduct social security taxes from my paycheck. This deduction does not increase my social security benefits at all."

SOURCE: Disabled account since Wednesday Last week

I am including a link to the Facebook terms page. Unfortunately, Facebook does reserve the right to close any account they wish based on the terms and policies stated. One common mistake that I have seen, and had some close friends make, is use a nickname for their name on Facebook. Because of this, Facebook disabled their accounts and I believe they had to create a new account with their real name.

Sorry for the frustration. All I can say is, keep trying to contact Facebook or create a new account, and reread the terms so this doesn't happen again.

SOURCE: If I exceed the Social

You can repay Social Security with a check and they will send you a bill stating what you owe them after you file your 2010 tax return after the new year. Don't send them anything until you receive your first bill and if you can't repay the entire amount then you can also set up an installment plan. Click on the link below to read more:

SOURCE: You have too many people reinventing social ****.

jose, they are showing concern. What is bothering you?

Testimonial: "What bothers me is that as far as my limited talent allows me to navigate Facebook, the multiplicity of options gets in the way and precludes one from controlling content or finding it. Moreover, as I stated before, sometime ago, I found myself with two accounts. To this date I have not been able to merge them. Now, I cannot find one of them. I CANNOT FIGURE OUT ANY MORE HOW TO ENTER FACEBOOK FROM A BROWSER. Is there a live person one can work this out with??? Thank you, jf "

New Medicare card scams?

not sure which you are talking about but here's what is happening....
Beginning this spring, look for your new Medicare card in the mail.
Plan holder since M## 2### This spring: Look for your new Medicare card in the mail Beginning April 2018 and through April 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be sending you a replacement Medicare card. The new cards do not include a Social Security number and will help to prevent *****, reduce identity theft and safeguard taxpayer dollars.

What does this mean for you? • You will receive a new Medicare card with a new Medicare number that is NOT based on your Social Security number. Begin using your new card immediately upon receiving it and destroy your old Medicare card. • Your benefits will not change with the new Medicare card - that is true for your Medicare benefits and your plan benefits under your AARP® Medicare Supplement Plan, insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company. • UnitedHealthcare is prepared to process all claims using the new Medicare number. • Keep your existing AARP Medicare Supplement health insurance ID card. This card will not be affected by the new Medicare number. You will NOT be receiving a new AARP Medicare Supplement health insurance ID card. Learn more about your new Medicare card by visiting the CMS website.

If you have questions about your AARP Medicare Supplement plan insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company, please call UnitedHealthcare at 1-800-523-5800.

Is it true that Social security checks are going to be renamed to Federal benefit checks

It's true that Social Security retirement payments are classified as "federal benefit payments." The word "benefits" has been applied to Social Security retirement payments since the Social Security program was enacted in the 1930s. The terminology is also not unique to Social Security, as the phrase "federal benefit payments" applies to a broad class of payments made to (or on behalf of) individuals under federal government programs - everything from Social Security Disability Insurance to Medicare to farm subsidies are considered "federal benefit payments." The fact that workers themselves contribute much of the money that goes into the Social Security retirement fund doesn't affect its classification as a benefit. They benefit the person who cashes the check.

How many unemployeers are in the USA

That number is subjective, last I heard there are 28 million and one unemployed. The one being me. doh! That is a speculative number, while the official is around 13 million. I guess those that can actually be counted, like still collecting unemployment or other benefits.
