I can send people messages on my phone, but when someone sends a message back it comes threw too my phone and shows at the top of my screen like usual , but when I go to my threads (messages) it doesn't show that anyone has sent me one so in addition to this I cant view what people are writing to me?

Just delete your sent items one by one. no need to go to nokia care center. its a bug of nokia 1110i. then try to send again, I can assure you it will work...

you need to format your phone so that you can receive messages again...input this code *#7370# and then click yes...enter your security code...after that your phone will reboot...it will automatically on..so please wait until the phone open..after that enjoy texting again..hope this will help you

All you have to do is go to your message setting on your phone:
1. Open Messaging
2. On New message sellect options at bottom
3. Open settings
4. Open Text message, you should see: Message centre, message centre in use ect..
5. Open message centres this should go to next screen then open again, this screen should have : Message centre name & Message centre number (from your network provider you need to find out what is the message centres name & number are e.g in Australia it should be SMSC1 and number is +61411990001) then just manually enter these in there.
