If the bolt didnt break off in the compressor you can reinstall it..But there should be a spacer inside the face that fell offf.You need tha for the air gap
THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY OR OUT OF ADJUSTMENT LOOSE FELL OUT THE BRACKET.CHECK UNDER THE DASH WHERE BRAKE PEDAL ARM IS YOU SHOULD SEE A PLUNGER STEM LIKE SWITCH TOUCHING BRAKE PEDAL ARM.IF NOT SWITCH FELL OFF SUPPORT BRACKET.IF BRAKE SWITCH STILL IN PLACE MORE LIKELY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY.
There are onlyy three things, check fuses, check the switch by wiggling it or check and make sure the motor is not bound up or the linkage has not come apart under the hood. You caqn try turning them on and then manually lifting on the wiper to see if it will start moving again. May be a weak motor.
the piece of plastic that fell off may be from brake light switch. it is located in back of brake pedal arm, on the top. the switch may just need a little adjustment or replaced. have a good day !!

pop the hood, the wiper motor should be on the firewall, take it off and start from there. it seems like the arm snapped (or fell off hopefully), easy fix.

If it is the old fassion turn signal switch,then the flat part fits into the rectangled slot on the turn signal switch.This is the turn signal arm you are talking about I think.The screw with the larger round phillips head is the one that holds it down.
