Maytag fridge bepping lights out MFI2568AES...fridge and freezer working..what could it be... Beeping all night long..

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

Model MF12266AES French door fridge seems to be stuck in defrost mode. We were told there is a way to 'reboot' the system on the fridge (maybe by pressing the light button inside a number of times). Does...

Hello Jennifer

Here is my step by step instructions to follow.

1. Look inside your refrigerator and locate the temperature control switch. This is usually situated around the middle of the refrigerator's back panel. Some switches have a wheel mechanism, whereas others use digital displays.
2. Turn the temperature control wheel down to zero or switch to "Off" if you have a digital display.
3. Move your refrigerator away from the wall. Refrigerators are extremely heavy, so enlist the help of another person, if possible.
4. Unplug the refrigerator cord from the wall outlet. Leave unplugged for around two or three minutes.
5. Attach the power supply back to the wall outlet and position the refrigerator back against the wall. Your refrigerator temperature is now reset. Switch the temperature control back to "On" and adjust the temperature to the level required.
6. Open the ice making area of your refrigerator if it is producing watery ice cubes or an inconsistent water supply.
7. Locate the water filter status light inside the ice maker. This is usually a small rectangular light situated at the side of the ice maker.
8. Push the switch next to the status light seven or eight times in quick succession. This will reset your ice maker.
9. Check the status light. This should turn from red to green once the switch has been pressed several times. The green color indicates the ice maker has been reset.
Remember if you FRIDGE is on warranty you just send it first to the manufacturer.

The water and ice dispenser stopped working, nothing on the control panel works at all

Looking over your wiring diagram I would go straight for the freezer door light switch. Part number 241547901 or 1037569 Switch-light lamp, freezer door. It is used as an interlock to disable the dispenser controls while the freezer door is open. I would unplug refrigerator and remove switch by prying out of its slot in the door frame. Use an ohm meter to test both ways. It has a three wire connection that while door is open lights are on and dispenser control disabled. When door shuts lights off and dispenser should have power. Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Lots of water in bottom of refrigerator

Every ten to twelve hours or more irregular intervals if equipped with an adaptive defrost control your refrigerator activates a heating element around the evaporator to defrost the accumulation of frost that develops on the evaporator. Behind the back panel there is an evaporator pan it has a rubber grommet with a hole in it this is your defrost drain hose it is clogged. Unplug or switch refrigerator off at breaker panel, remove panel covering evaporator area (rear panel in freezer), use a hair dryer or hot water to unclog defrost drain a turkey baster works well to make sure the hose is unclogged.
the water that drains down this hose accumulates in the defrost drain pan in the base of the refrigerator under normal operation the heat from the refrigeration system evaporates this water. The drain pan has a limited capacity so do not poor more than 20-25oz of hot water down the hose after you unclog it. If you poor to much it wont hurt anything just make a mess youll have to clean up.

Lights, ice maker and led do not work (Model 690)

I assume you took the switch out. If you did you cannot see the control board because it is backlit by the lights. If the unit is working you are fine. TO verify put a flashlight to the display and see if you can read it. You can call the factory at 800-222-7820 for more help on monday.
