Took apart one of my Panasonic cordless phone handsets to clean the keypad and after re-assembling it, the charge indicator on the LCD display is stuck at one bar even though the battery is fully charged. Swapped batteries with one of the other handsets and it's fine but whichever battery is in my newly cleaned handset shows one bar. When I put the handset on the charger base, it beeps, the handset's charger light goes on and the display reads "charging." All seems normal but it never gets to full bars and the battery feels warmer than usual to the touch. The handset works fine, so far, in that I can dial and use all phone functions. What did I do wrong in the re-assembly?
SOURCE: base does not charge handset
If all 3 handsets fail to charge on the base unit that leads one to the conclusion that the charger with-in the base unit has gone bad and I really don't know of any fix. Thank You. Jerry

Start by swapping the batteries between units. If the formerly bad handset charges, it's a battery. If not, look for dirty contacts where the unit sets into the base or the batteries fit into the holder.

I had the same problem!
What you need to do is hold the "end" and "#" key for 5 sec, which will deregister the headset then all you would have to do is place it back in the base for it to registered again.
