I have music coming through my sub as well as bass, I've bridged my amp & switched to the correct settings on the amp. Can anyone help? Amp - megavox M-4250 Sub - 12' fli trap
Re: Music is coming through my sub as well as bass
Your amp might have a low pass filter and a high pass filter make sure it is switched to low pass and that should prevent music from coming out of the subs and just alow the bass too

Fosgate are great amp the settings should be at low not full or high, if is bridgeable the sun's should be negative to positive the one neg- coming out of one sub and pos+ coming out the other one on the amp bridgeable channel.
its in the amp and sub itself, what kind are you running, facing the sub forward helps amplify the sound forward and vice versa, id seal the boot up with sound deadener or polyfill, the less movement in the car the higher the chance the bass can travel, if its the thump you want make sure you have the lpf (low pass filter) switched on the amp, raise the gain and if you can do it on your amp bridge the wires, more info would be great on what your running. if you have the sla feature on head unit turn that up, bass frequency on head unit and amp shoould be between 55 to 80 up to 110 on both amp and sub. hope this helps
The first amp, sounds like there is straight power going through the gain instead of it being limited. The second amp...hook the other subs up to it and see if it sounds ok. If so, then the subs are messed up. If it sounds the same, make sure the subs are connected correctly.
Your probably overheating your amp from running at too low impedance. Check what your amp minimum impedance is, and make sure you have your subs wired at or above that. Remember, if your running a multi channel amp bridged the minimum impedance goes up. Check the manual and see what the bridged impedance is if your have your amp bridged. If this isn't the problem, check your sub wires and make sure they're good and secure, and not connecting, and disconnecting... Hope this solves your problem
It's your amp. unplug the rca's and that should narrow it down for you.One at a time. If it sounds like a bass drumroll, then like i said, it's the amp.
hi, first disconnect the rca input, then switch on headunit and if the amp produces a constant bass thump it then means it has an internal fault. if the amp idles quietly then replace the rca cable, or try connecting the headunit lineout feed directly to the bass amp, in this way you cud find out if your fault is coming from the headunit or the equaliser. cheers
