Define "seemed to be working". Is it or ain't it? A huge clue that something is in distress or having death throes would be distortion.

Either the driver is hot or the amp is shot. You can test the driver by floating it from the amp and attempting to drive it with any other amp channel, or just touch the speaker leads to a small battery. It will click or make static sounds.

Sounds like a dead amp. You could check the xformer output and the amp IC's with a VOM.

These amps do not cost a lot, about $40.00. and are easy to replace.

Offhand should work more than OK. Even if the 520 is only pushing 75watts per channel, you have 2 X for the front KSB-2.1 (left & right) plus another 75 for the Polk Audio center in addition to 250watts built-in amp of the Velodyne CT-150. What would be better is another pair of KSB-2.1 or comparable for the surround (another 2 X 75 and widening the separation).

hi, on the onkyo check the speaker out , each channel has its own -ev & +ev, each speaker to its appropriate polarity, thats it, its simple.. let me know
