I was in the middle of vacuuming and all of a sudden the vacuum just stopped working. I looked, thought the bag was full so I changed it out and nothing it will not turn back on again.

If the bag was really full it could have restricted the airflow and caused it to get too hot and shut off. If it does not have a mechanical reset button it will come back on after it cools down. The filters may need replaced too.

Vax stopped mid vacuuming,as though fuse in plug has blown.checked fuse,OK.no lights lit.vax not working.

Most vacuums have thermal protection on the motor that will shut it off if it gets too hot. If you can turn it off, wait 10-15 minutes, and it works when you turn it back on, that's what is going on. Now, the motor shouldn't normally get that hot, so your next challenge is finding out why. Check for any blockages in the air flow or cooling vents, and if the motor also powers something like a beater bar, make certain that it turns relatively freely.

it may be over heating.Check to make sure your hose and power nozzle are not plugged..Simply turning machine on without the hos then putting hose on while running and see if the motor sounds different,ie.winding up higher.....if this doesn't help try changing the bag

My Sharp Vacuum, Model EC-S2365 just stopped working in the middle of vacuuming. I'm not sure what happened and I can't turn it back on. Any suggestions?

Just before it shut down were you pulling on the cord? For it to shut down like that it almost sounds like the electric cord has a break in it-probably at the plug

Dirt Devil Purpose for Pets suddenly stopped vacuuming, totally cutting off. Checked plug and outlet for problems which were negative.

I had this same problem. All of a sudden it shuts off while vacuuming and then i'd have to wait a while before it would turn back on. Finally it stopped working period. Before going out to buy a new vacuum, I decided to take the thing apart and clean it up really good. That included running a clothes hanger through the tubes to get all the stuck hair out, removing the roller and getting all the hair untangled from it, and rinsing out the air filters (both the sponge and the plastic piece with the paper like filter) with hot water. Then you let the filters dry for a day or two. The plastic/paper filter takes longer to dry so I used a hair dryer. The vacuum itself is not hard to take apart. I think there are only 11 total screws you need to take out. After the filters dried I put them back in the newly cleaned vacuum and it worked like new. I think the main problem was the condition of the filters. They can get pretty filthy over time, which will limit the air flow to the motor. With less air the motor is more likely to overheat and shut off. So keep your filters clean and you shouldn't have any proplems.

Panasonic Stow'n'Go, model MC-V5481

If you turn the vacuum over, you will see a hose by the brushroll. I think your problem is that it's stopped up right there. Take off the brushroll and make sure that the hose isn't stopped up. The port at the back that makes a hissing sound is to indicate that it's stopped up somewhere. Also, when you replace your attachment hose back onto the machine, does the motor change sound?? That's also another indication that your machine is stopped up. Don't lose hope for the Panasonic, they're great machines. If you still need help, you may call us at 1-866-509-1952. Thanks.
