Is it dv and not hdv? Have you selected the record format, using a native one is generally best. Take it you are using firewire directly, it could be the camera driver - codec, Can you borrow someone elses and try? Has it worked for you before (with and with-out that camera)?

AVID LIQUID 7.2 NOT IMPORT AVCHD FILE PLEASE HELP ME

Reasons why we cannot usually make AVCHD MTS recordings accepted by NELs:

But what you want is more than that. Even some of you enjoy reviewing the raw videos, still most of users want to edit their bunch of video clips and then create their own short movie for future refresh. So some powerful NELs may come to as a solution. FCP, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, Avid Media Composer, all those are good to use and easy to handle. But some of users may find that the raw videos came from their camera may not successfully imported into these NELs. Why? Because the unfriendly format of your video can't be supported by NLEs.

How to solve the AVCHD(*MTS) can't import Avid Media Composer this problem?

First , you need a powerful AVCHD Converter for Mac to help you convert your files into other normal format. The Avid Media Composer support AVI, MOV,MP4 ,etc. But you may worry about the poor quality after the conversion. Don't worry , this powerful converter can trans-code into normal formats and at the same time without any quality drop.

How do i hook my pinnacle to my ps3

To capture in Studio you need to know what type of device you will be capturing with.
There are 3 types
  • USB devices (like the 710&510 USB, and the Dazzle DVC 150 etc)
  • PCI cards (like the Movie Board, Movie Board Plus, 700&500 PCI)
  • 1394 cards
All these devices are setup in the same place in Studio but you will need to know what you have so you can make the right selections in the Capture source settings window.
To get to the settings window, hit the capture tab at the top of the screen from anywhere in Studio.
Note: When you go to the capture tab, if you have not changed the settings you may get a message saying it does not detect a DV camcorder.
When you hit the Settings button it will bring up this screen. Hit the capture Source tab. This is the capture source screen. This screen allows you to change what device Studio will use to capture. Notice the default is DV camcorder.
You can read the next step to hook your pinnacle up to youe PC reading the link below:

Techincal solution

Do you mean .omf and .mxf? On mac the souce files are quicktime. Audio, generally works with .aff the best but can use .wav also. Though that message seems to suggest it is an audio card problem. I'd check if you can record in other sofware programmes and maybe if you have an on board sound card as well as an external one (if using PC) turn the on-board on off in MSDos as it could be conflicting.

Avid Xpress Pro - AVID crashes when deck is turned on

This sounds like a fatal error out side of avid settings, you're going to need to do an avid reinstall to replace any currupted files. Just back up your media capture and .bin / avb files. Does xpress let you create an omfi file just import that rather than relinking?
