I want to record using Tascam with my peavey xr1220 mixer

What Tascam recorder are you using? If you are multitracking you will be unlikely to be able to use this mixer. Otherwise get a phono lead to fit the tape out and suitable connections for the Tascam recorder at the other end. This will allow you to record the main mix but unless you are a solo act or putting everything through the PA this will probably be pretty useless to you.

I recorded drums to the internal click track/metronome and drums are in time with metronome when i play it back with the click from the start of the song. BUT, if i stop in the middle of the song and...

I'd say the click track starts from exactly when you hit play even if you've hit play not right on the beat. There might be a setting or preference that can fix this.

Try rewinding back to be right on the beat and see if it syncs with the click

Buying a used Tascam 788. P.O. lost the power supply. How can I get a replacement? Couldn't find anything on TASCAM site.

Hi, Provided there is a tag on the back showing the units model number, on that same tag should be the power requirements for it-buying a universal power supply, or even a used working one to another piece of equipment is acceptable as long as the polarity is the same. Polarity is located right next to where the power supply plugs into the unit. It will be a " circle with a dash inside it with a line connecting to a C looking symbol with a line coming out of it connecting another circle with a plus sign inside. " that is a typical outer ground/inner positive marking. a power supply will be marked the same. If they match the polarities are the same. Next make sure the power supply says the proper DC voltage and Milliamps or amps-Ma/A example: 2400Ma, 2.4a. I hope this helps and thank you for asking FixYa, good luck and don't forget to write back and let me know how I did, Prodzilla.

Is there a good tutorial avail? I lost all my music trying to create a cd without finalizing or mastering!!!! Panic took over and i rushed to undo without fully understanding what i did exactly. No...

You can download a manual from the tascam site for this model. as long as you pre-named your songs, they should show in the menu without mastering. You cannot burn any songs without mastering your songs first, however. They will not appear in the create cd section for this very reason.
Record, master,burn.

Can i use my own electric guitar stomp box to record onto a tascam 2488 neo without miking an amp?

Yes, you should be able to go direct into the recording input if your guitar has a preamp in it and the 2488 may have adequate gain to even accept the input from a passive guitar.

Hi, why is it when I have finished mastering a song and record it on to the cd burner on my tascam 2488 mk2 it playsback so much lower that it sounds out of my monitors?

This is a common problem and I would recommend searching the forums on VSPLANET.com where they have all sorts of info and discussions about recording.
