You should reset the printer .
press resume button 3 second. release the resume button .May be your printer ready.

When I printed powerpoint documents on a hp deskjet 1280 it failed to print lines. I found that this problem could be solved by changing the transparency attribute of the line to 50%. The transparency attribute of a line or shape can be found by clicking on the sequence format/shape-outline/more-outline-colours/transparency at the top of the screen

I had this problem too and found that the rear cover (the one that you remove to clear a paper jam) was not correctly fitted and locked. After resetting the vover and fully locking it worked! Try it.
