Try disconnecting the computer from the printer and shutting it down by removing the power cord and then also shut down the computer for a minute or so and then reboot it and check in "Printers" and see if it has anything waiting to be printed and if so clear out the queue. Flashing green light indicates that the printer is receiving data from the computer and/or printing so you shut it all down and cold reboot to clear out the computer confusion in both the computer and the printer.
the flashing amber status light is normal indicating data going from computer to printer.the flashing paper light indicates a paper jam or out of paper. A sensor maybe not working properly or sticking. If your model number ends in a D check
Sounds like a bad print job stuck in a print spooler. Turn off copier. Go around to all computers that print to it and open the print queue. delete all print jobs. reboot each PC. Power up copier and see if it clears
The flashing green light means that the machine is receiving the print data that you are sending when trying to print. Depending on how the dealer set up the machine, yes it will shut down and stop printing when the "replace photconductor" indicator comes on. You will either need to order a replacement unit or have a local service guy come out and reset the counters. If you order your own unit, it will come with installation instructions and they are designed to be end user replaceable.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya

The data size of the image is large and it takes longer to process it
for printing. Printing will start as soon as the data processing
finishes.
If the paper error indicator flashes on the LCD:
The paper is jammed. Turn off the printer and turn it on again, take
out the paper tray, and then remove the jammed paper from the paper
outlet. If you cannot remove the jammed paper, consult with your Sony
dealer or service facility.
If no indicator is lit or flashing:
The thermal head may be overheated. Leave the printer until the head cools down and the printer resumes printing.
