When you format any drive you erase everything that is on them. you need to find the original files from the manufacturer to rebuild your system. philips should have files to download on their website philips.com. make sure your item is registered and they should give them to you for free. next time be sure to only delete your files. and only format first time use storage devices. the player should have already been formatted for your use.!!!!

How to download?

When you connect the MP3 player to your computer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as an external storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder on your MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the player exactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. To organise your music, make a folder name with the name of the music album and place the album's MP3 files in this folder, then copy the mp3 files from the computer into this folder.
You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music album folder. To delete a file from your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and then plug it into the USB port of your computer.
The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view the files, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and then press the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. I have a new Macbook Pro. How do I download Mp3 files to my Sansa clip Mp3 Player?

  1. The Sansa Clip will only play digital files that are in the MP3 format.
  2. Anything you "drag" to the Clip must be dragged to the MUSIC folder of the Clip drive represented on your desktop.
So, first make sure your CD "audio files" are in the MP3 format (iTunes can convert them, if not). And second, make sure you locate the MUSIC folder on the Clip drive as your destination.
Getting Songs onto the Clip
This is just a matter of copying files.

1) Plug the Clip into your USB
2) Copy song files (in the format the Clip accepts, see Clip manual) from your source to the MUSIC folder of the Clip drive.

NOTE (applies only to older versions of firmware): Copying files to the Clip on a Mac created extra files on the Clip and you would see them on the Clip display. If you are using an earlier firmware, you need something like the application, KopyMac to prevent this during copying. With the latest version of the firmware, this problem is eliminated.

FYI, if you keep your song files in the Artist:Album:song folder hierarchy on your source drive, you can copy the Artist folder to the Clip MUSIC folder and the hierarchy will be available through the Clip Music menu.

Nextarm933a mp3 player cant get to play songs or download

When you download songs, save it first on your My Music folder for you to easily track the song list. Once you have successfully downloaded the songs, insert your MP3 Player. Format your MP3 Player first by right clicking the drive and click format. Once it is formatted, Copy the songs from your My Music folder then Paste it on your MP3 Player drive.
*Note: Try to play your saved song in your Windows Media Player if the song is working fine before you copy it on your MP3 Player.
