Some Casio Keyboards use 9V DC (center negative) others 12V DC (center negative).
If check what voltage your Keyboard use. Generic AC adapters are usually center positive. So you have to invert the wire with a new DC plug to make it center negative,
Easiest is to buy a Casio ac adapter made for your keyboard from a Casio retailer.
You will need to change the laptop keyboard, go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model of laptop, and refine search to keyboard. But it would not hurt to attach a external keyboard to be sure.
I wouldn't worry too much about the installation procedures, try unplugging the keyboard, and shutting your PC down. Then reconnect the keyboard, turn your PC back on, and then try it. If still not working you can reach me at [email protected].
