The basic input/output system (BIOS) is essential computer motherboard
firmware. Using the BIOS menu, you can configure many system
settings--for instance, the computer boot sequence--and also configure
hardware, such as optical (CD/DVD) drives or a monitor. An optional
password protects BIOS from unauthorized access. However, you may need
to remove the BIOS password to facilitate the configuration of your
system. The Toshiba laptop model Satellite Pro T1000 allows you to
change BIOS settings and remove the password with a special Windows
hardware setup program.
1. Click "All Programs" from the Windows start menu.
2. Open the folder "TOSHIBA" and click on "Utilities."
3. Click on "HWSetup" to start the Toshiba Hardware BIOS utility.
4. Click on the tab "Password" in the HWSetup window.
5. Select the radio button "Not Registered" in the field "Password."
6. Click the "Apply" button to to remove the password and save that change in the laptop BIOS.

You will need the BIOS password to enter the BIOS setup. To do a hardware reset remove the CMOS batteries for 30 minutes.
Once your BIOS password is removed, you will need to press the
<F2> key during POST (Power On Self Test) to enter the Acer BIOS
setup. After you
enter BIOS, go to the Boot tab and down to "Security" and make your
changes there. If you need help with the default password, please re-post your request. Thanks and good luck.
Hoping you are using some version of windows OS. Go to safe mode... press the power button to boot and while booting keep pressing F8 which will allow you to go to safe mode and reboot the machine if you are able to sucessfully able to go to safe mode. Now boot to normal mode as usual boot. If you still notice BSOD(blue screen of death) then once more go to safe mode and uninstall the new softwares if you have installed any on your laptop recently like graphics device driver or audio driver so on.... if you are not sure of new softwares installed.. use system restore method in safe mode to restore the system to older date it should resolve your problem. system restore tool of windows will be in start-> program -> accesories-> system tools-> system restore.
if your laptop needed a password to open windows, if i'm correct, then when your is on booting period press F2 or Delete tab to go on BIOS setup.
if you have not been or your not familiar read the instruction carefully at the lower side of the screen of tab your going to use. and look supervisor password and reset it or Disable that one, then save changes. and press enter for confirmation
Hi, i aint sure which password you are tying to remove, ie Bios one or windows.
if its the bios one, the easiest way would be to open up the laptop and remove the lithium battery while the mains is unplugged, and wait about 30secs and put the battery back in, and the password should be removed,
If its windows, switch on the pc, keep pressing F8 just after switching it on, select Safe Mode when it appears and once it loads windows go into control panel, into user accounts , and click remove password.
